Meet the team
Mark graduated with honours from Newcastle University in 1996. Having worked as an associate for 5 years, Mark and his wife Rachael purchased The Honley Dental Practice in 2001.
Since then the practice has gone from strength to strength, gaining a reputation for quality in all aspects of dentistry.
Mark has completed numerous postgraduate courses over the years and has a particular passion for cosmetic denistry, which he has enjoyed sharing with other dentists whilst teaching at The North of England Dental Academy.

Rachael also graduated from Newcastle University in 1996. After working in Batley for 5 years Rachael and her husband bought the Honley Dental Practice in 2001.
Rachael is proud to be a general dentist and is particularly well liked by our more nervous patients due to her calm and gentle demeanour.
Rachael has gained considerable experience in tooth whitening having carried out well over a hundred 1-hour BriteSmile procedures. She also has a special interest in non-invasive cosmetic procedures and has recently undergone further training in injectable cosmetics for the anti-wrinkle treatment and Invisalign training (invisible braces).
Outside work Rachael enjoys being with her two daughters, keeping fit, reading and shopping.

Andy graduated at Leeds University in 1998 where he was awarded the Percy Leigh Prize for excellence in Oral Pathology and Radiology.
He joined the Honley Dental Practice in 2002. Since leaving university Andy has completed numerous postgraduate courses keeping up to date with the latest advances in general and cosmetic dentistry.
He is currently enrolled on a Postgraduate Masters course in Oral Surgery at the University of Central Lancashire. Away from dentistry, Andy enjoys running and walking in the hills of Yorkshire, real ale and the occasional glass of red wine with his wife Nina.

Nigel qualified at Sheffield University in 1988, and started advanced restorative dentistry training in 1999, he completed a Masters Degree in Restorative Dentistry in 2005 at The Leeds Dental Institute.
Nigel has worked in private prosthodontic practice since 1995 and has received advanced training in London, Austria, Italy, Portugal and the USA in the fields of Implantology, Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry by some of the worlds leading clinicians. He lectures extensively in these fields himself throughout the UK.
He is also a Nobel Biocare Mentor, which involves teaching and supervising dentists on a one to one basis in all aspects of Implantology from their own practice environment through his company "One to One Implant Training".

Janet qualified from The Leeds Dental Institute in 1986 and has worked at The Honley Dental practice since 1990.
Janet is a member of the British Dental Hygienists Association and attends regular courses for continued professional development.
She enjoys walking and watching her family play sport. She is also a keen reader and enjoys the odd glass of wine.
Starting her career as a trainee orthodontic nurse in 2007, Lucy soon went on to study further at Sheffield University where she graduated as a Dantel Hygienist and Therapist in 2010.
Since qualifying, Lucy works in both NHS and private settings providing hygiene restorative treatments. Within Honley Dental Practive Lucy enjoys working with the patient and tailoring an oral health programme to suit the individual's needs, in order to improve and maintain their oral health.
Lucy is a member of the British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy and enjoys taking part in regular Postgraduate education in order to stay up to date with all the latest techniques and treatments.
